The Good Shepherd
(approximately 43" x 36")
The pattern for this crib sized quilt or wallhanging depicts a loving shepherd cradling a lamb on his shoulder. The verse embroidered around the border is Isaiah 40:11 - "The Lord tends his flock like a shepherd. He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart." This quilt is easy enough for a beginner and can be either hand or machine appliqued. The pieces are prepared using a freezer paper method (see Getting Started to see a tutorial of this easy method.) The outer border is scrap pieced using the fabrics from the center panel. banner depicts two hands sharing a candy cane. The word "Peace" is
appliqued and "on earth" is embroidered. The ribbon loops are perfect to
